About
The original, student-led, once-per-term publication of Monterey Trail High School, Voices in Print, has since evolved into an easily accessible, constantly updated and extremely valuable online publication that we are proud to introduce as Voices from the Trail. It has been a difficult process in attempting to raise this publication from the ground – I myself have spent constant hours after school and on the weekends working to publish stories, edit articles, and discover the mysteries of posting photographs (that turn out to be aligned on the wrong side of the page).
Nevertheless, we here at Voices from the Trail (myself included), feel that it is necessary for the school to understand what is occurring on their own campus, and their community. In order to stay true to the nature of a school newspaper, it has also been decided that we will not publish any story pertaining to world news, unless it directly impacts our school or community.
Instead of simply being published once per term, it is our goal to update daily, if at all possible. As the website is only just beginning, please excuse us if we are not able to immediately post a story on the latest football game or movie review. We are constantly facing problems in attempting to work out the bugs of this website – hopefully, you understand.
Here at Voices from the Trail, you will be able to read the latest news updates, check out the scores from the previous weeks’ games, look up movies and music reviews, submit your own poetry and short stories, and enjoy the publication.
I would like to thank you for supporting Monterey Trail High School. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please contact this publication by comment, drop by LRC 26, or send me an email, and you will be responded to at the earliest convenience.
Sincerely,
Jessica Stolzman
