Ke$ha is Not a One-Hit-Wonder

Can you flash back to early 2009 when Flo Rida was just coming off from his hit single “Low”, when he was about to release another single “Right Round”? The voice featured on the song was not Katy Perry – it was Los Angeles native, Ke$ha, now a hot new artist enjoying her fame. Although many have wondered who was on the song, there is no question of it now. Ke$ha is enjoying the fame (possibly even more) that Flo Rida enjoyed. Ke$ha’s first single, “Tik Tok”, from her debut album, Animal (released into stores January 5th), just hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 (US), and knocked Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ “Empire State of Mind” off a five week run as number one. Since Lady Gaga stormed into 2009 with “Just Dance”, Ke$ha is the first female artist to have her debut single hit number one on the Hot 100 chart.
Ke$ha has been enjoying success on other charts, as well sporting number one on the Digital Songs Chart and the Canadian Hot 100. She holds number two, two, and four on Ringtones, Pop Songs, and Radio Songs respectively. But don’t worry for Ke$ha – this artist seems to have proven she will not be a one hit wonder. Although her other tracks have not been released on any of Billboard’s other charts, fans seem to have taken a liking to them. For most artists, that’s all that matters.
