Willy Wonka He’s Got the Golden Ticket!

Okay, technically it would be Charlie Bucket, Augustus Gloop, Veruca Salt, Mike Teavee, and Violet Beauregarde with the Golden Tickets. The play Willy Wonka was fantastic and can be seen March 17, 23, and 24 at 7 o’clock sharp. Willy Wonka is a great play about Mr. Wonka looking for the future owner of his Chocolate empire. Mr Willy Wonka is played by a stupendous Dalven McClain who hides golden tickets into his chocolate bars for 5 lucky children to find. In the play, Willy Wonka is both our narrator and our confectioner. he effortlessly takes us on a journey through his world. The play is quiet creative in creating illusions, like with Augustus Gloop. I thought to myself “How are they going to make a Chocolate river or a rig that would make the character go up a pipe?” The question was answered with the props presented on stage.
The play actually seems like it would just be the original story of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl ,but this play Willy Wonka is really a musical of enchanting proportions. The cast does a stunning job of transporting you into the world of chocolate and fun. Charlie seems to be down on his luck when he is somehow luckily a spot in the winners of the 5 Golden Tickets. We all know the ending. or do we? This tale, or musical, is a little different. Sure the play might be a little cheesy, but everybody loves Willy Wonka.
