My girl, she’s a cutie. Isn’t she a beauty? If you knew her for yourself, you’d say that she’s pretty and that she will suit me and that isn’t a mistake. I will always love her and I’ll meet her mother, but that won’t be till the future. I know that she loves me, I’m right above her tummy and she knows that I’m the best for her. I can’t say the rest, and that’s for the best, and I don’t want to jinx it or else I’ll be a mess whenever I see her during a test. I’ll still love her even if she leaves me, and I’ll see that no one can beat me. Well, my girl is my world and it won’t end when I’m dead, because our love lasts more than an eternity.

A girl what is that word what does it mean is it strong is it fragile is it me is it you? If we were to think gender yes each woman would have been a girl. If we were to think sexually, a girl is like a delicate flower something special that is kept locked like the jewels of a castle for girl sexuality is priceless and not allowed to be thought of until she is a women. If we were to think sexist, she is the whiny brat who knows nothing of life and will grow up when she doesn’t like toys anymore. Yes, a girl is strong is this news to you its not to me the girls of an America have a union they have a voice you know them as girl scouts. Those people who hand the order form to their parents and you sign up for a box of thin mints and you’ll take a box of macaroons for that cheat day you have. A girl can be strong because there are strength in numbers but there is strength in the gleam of her eyes those eyes that tell you there is hope, death to come, I have seen horrors, I am happy, I want to know you, and most of all will you treat me like a person not an object. A girl is delicate but not in the sense of, she will crumble if we don’t protect her no the delicate thing about her is that she is so impressionable if you show her the death and decay. The girl will remind you yes of why you did it to protect her but also to remind you of your humanity of why it is wrong to let things go on like this. Girl or better yet lets call them Amazon the female warriors who can take themselves all the way to the extreme of girl and bring hunter gather to a new level.

Amazons are the old thing that are not played out they were extinct were did they go? Were did my wonder women go where did my superhero go? Right where did she go? You know what I’m getting tired of waiting so I will find my own Amazon I shall become my own Amazon my own Girl the women who will change the world. A woman is what becomes of a girl or is the girl really a woman? A woman is girl; a girl is Women.

I have a mole next to my left eye, a little on the side

I have another one on the wrist of my right hand

I am giddy and hate standing still in one place

But sometimes I’m really serious and totally depressed

I’m bipolar and I think I’m a little crazy

I love pop music and “You Belong With Me” is constantly stuck in my head

I walk really fast and if I leave you behind I’m not angry I just walk fast

I <3 writing anything: poetry essays, short stories, whatever

I’m totally indecisive

I love shopping for clothes

I make dirty jokes a lot

And I’m telling you all this hoping you’ll still say you love me

Creative Corner Policy

As an extension of the Voices from the Trail, the Creative Corner section of this website will uphold the values of Voices from the Trail, as well as a commitment to publishing quality, creative work by students attending Monterey Trail High School. This work includes, yet is not limited to, poems, short stories, creative non-fiction articles, videos (with some exceptions), and artwork. Please note that all written pieces must not exceed 2500 words and should either be typed or neatly hand written in print – cursive will not be accepted for publication.

Creative Corner is a section of Voices from the Trail is committed to preserving the creativity of teens attending Monterey Trail High School, so please submit anything that you feel is creative, and it could very well end up on the site. In accordance with the mission statement of Voices from the Trail please note that the editor of Creative Corner reserves the right not to publish any work you may submit.

Anonymous materials may be submitted for publication, but please include your name, ID number, contact information, and grade. Pieces can be submitted electronically through this link (vfttcreativecorner@yahoo.com) or submitted to Ms. Fox in either HK1 or LRC 26.
