Suffering

Darkness surrounds me, I am alone in this world now, now one to help or lift me up I’m surrounded by a world that’s falling apart and I’m drowning in self pity I hate. What is the bright side of suffering?

Now I put faith in what I’ve been told and what I know to be true to keep on a wavering line of sanity.

Told that the bad, the dark, the cold, all exist to make the positive, for without it there would be no contrast.

Know: that suffering brings us down to a level that humbles us.

Suffering makes us human, it is vital to sanity and the sanctity of being human

It is what makes truly sympathetic as we can honestly know what those around go through.

Finally found out of speculation, suffering provides solitude for one to ponder life and all of its aspects

Why we suffer, why we live, where we are going in life, where friends are in this time of need, whether what surrounds us is true or superficial, or whether we are stuck in a vicious cycle of society’s fray

This is the bright side of suffering,
