When caring for you was not enough
When crying for you was not enough
When loving you was not enough
I let you go
Facing my worst fear
Realizing my heart could mend
From the pain and suffering
From the anguish and desolation
Finding solace and acceptance
I blindly embraced the hope of another season
of another smile
of another touch
of another joy
What is born and lives
Will wither and die
What I loved and cherished
Turned to strength and wisdom
If there is a heaven
We will lie next to each other again
If there is a chance
We will be together again
If there is another lifetime
We will love again

This poem was very touching and quite sad but I’m glad to hear that in the end, there was a positive outlook on the poem despite the sadness and despair cause. Whoever wrote this, I truly LOVED it!

Ahh…heartbreak. Such a tearful subject…yet it is bittersweet. Good job.
