GPA requirements for CSU’s & UC’s

 Thinking about going to college, in the coming years? Nervous that your dream school won’t accept you’re GPA? Apprehensive about applying because you’re unsure you’ll make the cut? No need to fret, Voices from the Trail has put together a list of California universities and colleges based on GPA to ease those worries.

While GPA’s are important, a high GPA is not the only requirement for getting into college. Many universties  look at many other requirements for acceptance. Other requirements include ACT/SAT scores, community service hours, and extracurricular activities – these all play an important role in the acceptance process as well. Colleges want the most well-rounded students, so be sure to make your application as stunning as you can.

GPA	CSU/UC
2.0-2.49	Rarely do colleges accept GPA’s that range from 2.0-2.49. Your best bet would be to apply to community colleges.
2.5-2.99	Chico State, Sacramento State, Sonoma State, San Francisco State, East Bay, San Jose State, CSU Stanislaus, Fresno State,  CSU Channel Islands, CSU Monterey Bay, CSU Northridge, Los Angeles State, CSU Dominguez Hills, CSU San Bernardino, CSU Fullerton, CSU Pomona, CSU San Marcos,
3.0-3.49	All of the above plus: CSU Long Beach, CSU San Luis Obispo, UC Merced, UC Riverside, UC San Francisco, UC Santa Cruz
3.5 or higher	All of the above plus: UC Berkeley, UC Davis, UC Irvine, UCLA, UC Merced, UC San Diego, UC Santa Barbara
