In an entirely uneventful game, the JV men’s soccer team of Monterey Trail High School was able to hold their own in securing a tie against Florin, 0-0. Florin, known by many to be the easiest team to beat in the Elk Grove Unified School District, proved themselves to be an equal opponent to that of the JV men’s soccer team.
With the end of the season approaching, one can only ask: will the Mustangs be able to bounce back? With few wins tucked under their belts and only two games to go, the belived outcome of the games in the coming weeks is not that to be celebrated.

Though Sheldon managed to score against the Mustangs, Monterey still gave a good game of defense. #27 Brandon Wood provided the Mustangs a greater defense as he interrupted two attempted touchdown runs during the third quarter.
During the fourth quarter, the Mustangs fell further behind, due to a fumble and interception. Bad ball handling on their part caused Sheldon to be able to take it up a notch, earning further touchdowns and strengthening the gap between the scores of the two teams.
